To provide a more in-depth scope of research and analysis for surfing commentary compared to what they are currently supplied with by their host broadcaster. As sports compete against one another for viewership and ratings, it’s important that the voices on air are delivering more insight and a diverse range of information than their competitors.

SOLUTION

To create a database of comprehensive surfing stats across both men’s and women’s events in the history of the sport as the foundation for more in-depth search queries and variety of information stored.   In order to differentiate from their current data provider, the type of information that can be researched offers a larger scope of information that commentators can weave into their on-air opinion and analysis.

RESULT

The Breakdown continues to produce a greater breadth and depth of statistical content, which has been made available to surfing commentators. A comprehensive database of historical information is available to clients in subscription based service.
